November 14-21, 2009 Seminar in Egypt (Sinai, Aquasun Ghazali)
Participation in this seminar is recommended both to those who has been practising aikido or other martial arts (irrespective of the style) for a long time and to those who is only becoming interested in the laws of controlling the motion of their body (see above). See the photos Ten weeks have passed since the seminar. There was time to think through the results of the seminar. The opinions are different, which is natural. Some people are used to comfort, some are happy about the opportunity to welcome the sunrise, passing the night in a sleeping-bag. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter… The main topic is dynamic meditation. If literally translated into Russian, it means “reflection in motion”, but it would be more precise to name the topic “observing the motion”. You cal learn something new only while observing. Reflection is just a logical conclusion from something already “known”. Observing our motion we investigate a process happening inside our body, and sooner or later, if we allow ourselves observe rather than reflect, we can see the ones who move – ourselves. The degree of intensity and evaluation of this investigation will define how much new we can learn about ourselves. The terms “self-improvement”, “internal work” mean nothing if it is not understood “where” this “work” happens and what it is that we “improve”. I hope that little by little, bit by bit we manage to make headway to this understanding. Andrei. |
